Spine Universe Author Biography

Dr. Feler received his medical degree from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky and completed his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis. To further his medical training, Dr. Feler also completed a fellowship in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery at Toronto General Hospital in Toronto, Canada. He has been an associate of Semmes-Murphey Neurologic & Spine Institute in Memphis since 1990.

Dr. Feler is a member of many prestigious medical organizations including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the World Society of Stereotactic Neurosurgery, the American Pain Society and the American Academy of Pain Medicine, just to name a few.

He also serves as vice president and board member of the North American Neuromodulation Society as well as editor for numerous professional publications such as Neuromodulation from the International Neuromodulation Society, and Pain Physician from the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Feler also sits on the editorial boards for the Anesthesiology Clinics of North America and Topics in Pain Management.
