Eric T. Shapiro, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. After graduating from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, he attended the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont.

At Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Dr. Shapiro served his internship and later completed an orthopaedic residency. He received Sport Medicine Fellowship Training at Tufts University/New England Medical in Boston, Massachusetts.

During his training at Tufts University, he was the University's Team Physician for World Cup Soccer. In addition, Dr. Shapiro has published many articles including a chapter in Sports Medicine Primary Care Textbook.
