Dr. Goldstein is the Director of Spine Service at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Spine Service. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Goldstein's surgical expertise is related to the spine and includes degenerative diseases, deformity, trauma, tumors, and infections, as well as newer minimally invasive endoscopic approaches and disk replacement. Dr. Goldstein has distinguished himself as a researcher and innovator and has authored book chapters and presented numerous articles published in national and international scientific journals. He has also instructed other surgeons on minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Goldstein is involved in the research and development of biomedical materials and devices.

He is board certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Spine Surgeons. Dr. Goldstein is a member of several national and international spine societies.

Dr. Goldstein earned his degrees from Colgate University and the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center at Brooklyn where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with Distinction in Research. He was trained in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Goldstein completed a fellowship in spine surgery. Dr. Goldstein is Director of the Spine Center at Seaport Orthopaedic Associates. He has been recognized by New York Magazine and Castle Connolly as one of New York's "Best Doctors."
