Doctor Nitin Bhatia, a fellowship trained spine surgeon, serves as Director of the UC Irvine Spine Center. He has expertise in all areas of spinal pathology including spinal stenosis, disc herniations, spine trauma, and scoliosis. Dr. Bhatia is active in multiple research projects including federally funded spinal cord injury research. Most of all, Dr. Bhatia gives his patients compassionate and understanding care.

When surgery is necessary, Dr. Bhatia uses state of the art techniques including minimally invasive surgery, endoscopic discectomy, percutaneous fusions, and kyphoplasty. Dr. Bhatia is active in multiple research projects including federally funded spinal cord injury research.

The UC Irvine Spine Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for all spine related problems. The Center's multi-disciplinary approach to neck and back problems results in non-surgical solutions for the majority of our patients. As the only university medical center in Orange County, we provide cutting-edge care including minimally invasive surgery and disc replacement surgery.

The UC Irvine Spine Center provides care for Orange County and the surrounding communities including Irvine, Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Laguna Nigel, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Fullerton, Westminster, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Long Beach, Anaheim, Brea, Mission Viejo, Temecula, Fallbrook, Los Angeles, and Riverside.
