Elliot Gross, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon in private practice
since 1975.
Dr. Gross earned his Medical Degree from the State University of New York at
Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. He completed a surgical internship, general surgical
residency and three-year orthopedic residency at Nassau County Medical Center
in East Meadow, NY, which is part of Stonybrook University Medical School. The
residency program involved extensive training in adult reconstructive, pediatric,
hand, scoliotic, and traumatic orthopedic surgery. Further, Dr. Gross participated
in a Fellowship in Rehabilitative Medicine at E.J. Meyer Hospital in Buffalo,
NY.
In his practice, Dr. Gross treats arthritis and all joint complaints, fractures,
sprains and strains, and back and sciatic pain. His treatment philosophy is
extremely conservative and his goal is to treat patients utilizing the least
invasive therapy that will resolve or improve symptoms. He views the patient
as a whole being with a strong interaction between the mind and spirit.
Dr. Gross offers specialized care and treatment to injured workers and is a
recognized Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) and Agreed Medical Examiner (AME).
He works closely with all types of medical providers including chiropractors,
internists, physical therapists, and acupuncturists. Dr. Gross coordinates care
with claims adjustors, nurse case managers, and workers' compensation attorneys
to provide the best comprehensive recovery program for individuals injured on
the job.
