About Dr. A. David Tahernia
Doctor A. David Tahernia is Director of the Comprehensive Spine Center at the Desert Orthopedic Center and serves as the Division Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. Dr. Tahernia is Board Certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Tahernia received his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency and Surgical Internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Thereafter, he received advanced training through a Fellowship in Spinal Surgery under the tutelage of Thomas G. Lowe, MD at the University of Colorado in Denver.
He is an active member of several prestigious medical organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, American Medical Association, California Orthopaedic Association, and Riverside County (CA) Medical Society. Throughout his academic, research, and clinical career, he continues to receive praise from peers and patients.
