About Raymond J. Linovitz, MD

Dr. Raymond Linovitz is a board certified, and fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon at CORE Orthopaedic Medical Center in Encinitas, CA. His practice specializes in treatment of spinal disorders. He also serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California-San Diego.

Dr. Linovitz received his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He completed his surgical internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Detroit, surgical residency at Los Angeles Harbor General Hospital, and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of California at San Diego.

Between residencies, Dr. Linovitz served in the military, specifically at US Army Hospitals in Seoul, Korea and San Pedro, CA consecutively, acquiring additional orthopaedic and general surgery experience. Dr. Linovitz completed a Fellowship program in the Department of Spinal Disorders at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, England.

Dr. Linovitz is very active in research and has authored publications and given numerous presentations on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the spine. Dr. Linovitz has also been involved in the development of new technology and surgical instruments for the spine.

He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Linovitz also is a member of other prestigious medical associations, including the North American Spine Society.
