Degenerative Spondylolisthesis of the Lumbar Spine

Low back pain is a common degenerative spondylolisthesis symptom. This article covers non-surgical treatments for spondylolisthesis, including exercise, bracing, and medications. It also discusses surgery, although few patients will actually need surgery for spondylolisthesis.

Laparoscopic Lumbar Spinal Techniques

Minimally invasive spine surgery may involve the use of endoscopes; devices that offer surgeons enhanced visualization capabilities that help to reduce complications, blood loss, and fusion disease.

An Introduction to Minimally Invasive Surgery

Minimally invasive spine surgery was developed out of the desire to effectively treat disorders of the spinal discs with minimal muscle-related injury and with rapid recovery. Learn the basics of minimally invasive surgery here.

What Can Physical Therapy Do For Me?

A physical therapist discusses the following questions. What is physical therapy? What can a physical therapy program do for me that I cannot do on my own? Who benefits from physical therapy?

Laparoscopic Spinal Fusion

By using special instrumentation and scopes, laparoscopic spinal fusion requires only a small incision in the back. There are numerous benefits to this approach, the most significant being reduced hospital stay and less recuperation time.

Case Report: 50-Year-Old Male Treated with PRODISC®

Read about the experience of a 50-year-old man who underwent disc replacement surgery as a participant in the nonrandomized portion of the PRODISC® disc replacement trial.

Spinal Tumors: Treatments

A spinal tumor is a very serious medical condition. If diagnosed early, patients have a better chance of a full recovery.
