About Eduardo R. Luque, MD

Dr. Eduardo Luque is Professor at the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Mexico City, Mexico. He holds numerous Professorships and Visiting Professorships at North American and South American universities.

Dr. Luque earned a medical degree from Stanford University. He was in a rotating internship program at Montreal General Hospital through McGill University Service in Canada. He was a resident in pathology and plastic surgery at the Hospital General de Mexico Service of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. Dr. Luque was an prthopaedic resident in the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Hospital in England and at the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital in California, where he was also the Chief Resident.

Dr. Luque is an active member of many South American and international professional societies including: Sociedad Mexicana de Ortopedia, Consejo Mexicano de Orthopaedia y Traumatologia, Sociedad Latinoamericana de Ortopedia y Traumatologia, European Spinal Deformities Society, and President and founder of the Asociacion Mexicana de Cirujanos de Columna.

Dr. Luque has contributed several chapters to books and written three books. Additionally, he has published 43 articles in scientific journals.

As a physician dedicated to the health of America, the American Medical Association awarded Dr. Luque with the Physician's Recognition Award valid from 1998 through 2001.
