Facts and Tips about Kyphosis
- There are two kinds of kyphosis: postural and structural.
- Scheuermann's disease affects children. It's when the front of the spine doesn't grow as fast as the back of the spine.
- Sometimes, spine fractures cause a kyphotic curve.
- If the kyphosis is caused by a structural problem, you may have to wear a brace to help correct it.
- If the curve is greater than 70º, your doctor may recommend surgery.
