Piroxicam (Feldene)

Feldene is the brand name for prioxicam. This prescription medication is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is prescribed to treat mild to moderate pain caused by inflammatory disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Although it is not known exactly how Feldene works, it is theorized the drug blocks substances that contribute to inflammation. Piroxicam treats the symptoms of the above-mentioned disorders, not the disorder itself.
