Imipramine (Tofranil)
Tofranil is the brand name for imipramine. This prescription medication is
a tricyclic anti-depressant used to treat depression. Depression may affect
patients with back or neck pain, especially when pain is chronic. Imipramine
treats depression by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances in
the brain needed to maintain mental balance.
